Meet Jenny Goss

Learn more about the newest addition to our Circle of Care...

By: Jenny Goss, CNM, APNP
Certified Nurse Midwife

My name is Jenny Goss. I am the newest Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) here at Women’s Care of Wisconsin. I am so excited to join the midwifery team and the whole family of providers here at Women’s Care! I have quickly learned that this family cares deeply about its members and all aspects of their lives, and cannot wait to grow my practice here.

I have worked in the OB world for 16 years now and have always loved working with pregnant women and new moms. As I have come of age (closer to 50 then I want to admit J), I have also become fascinated with the aging process and the menopause stage of life.  As a midwife, my scope of practice allows me to work with women from adolescents to post-menopausal.  This is such a wonderful range and keeps me challenged with learning new things every day.

While I hail from a little further north, I have already come to love the Fox Valley and all of the opportunities (and shopping) it offers.  My wonderful husband Mike and I own and operate a small farmette just north of Lena, where we have lived for 12 years now. We raise our own beef, chickens and garden produce in as natural and humane a manner as we can. On top of all that, I’m currently learning about beekeeping and can’t wait to get my first 2 hives underway in April.  Now I just have to get all those hive parts assembled.

My husband and I have 3 grown children and 2 more still at home. My oldest daughter is just a couple months away from graduating with her RN and will make the 4th generation of nurses in our family—which makes me immensely proud! My Grandmother and Grandfather were nurses and my Mom and I graduated together as the first Mother-Daughter team from NWTC in Green Bay (many years ago).  It seems that nursing is in our blood; although, my youngest daughter assures me she is going to be a Vet as evidenced by the assortment of pets and animals we seem to accumulate (now she wants a pot-belly pig).

We have a very busy household as we are also treatment Foster care parents. We specialize in medically needy children and recognize what a blessing these children are to our home. They usually stay long term and become one of our family members.  I have really honed my skills in ventilators, monitors and feeding tubes, these things have become second nature. My husband is often my backup help and provides unbelievable support. We have wonderful nurses that provide care during the day so that we can work. People try to give us credit for what we do but we realize that it is only thru God’s grace that we are able to provide the love and care these special kids need from us.

I look forward to building my practice with the women of the Fox Valley and surrounding areas.  I love midwifery and really believe that we can offer up the support and relationships that women sometimes crave.  My greatest joy is the ability to be present at the birth of a new family addition and watching a man and woman become a new mom and dad.

Hope to see you soon!
